The following is a handy tip for appending the last modified date and user details to the description field of any entity. In this case I’ll be using the Phone Activity. Here’s how you can accomplish this.

  1. Create a new background workflow
  2. Set to on Record fields change
  3. Select Fields. Check all fields except Modified By, Modified By (Delegate), Modified On, and Description.
